After the exhausting day yesterday, today was all about sleeping in.
We didn't go for breakfast until around 9:30 am. Again, we had it at the restaurant by the sea. We had to eat the bread from the bread basket quickly, as otherwise the ants would attack it. Papa wanted to take a small croissant for later and had placed it on his napkin, just to be safe from the ants. But it wasn't safe there either. Suddenly, a monkey jumped onto the table, grabbed a few packets of sugar with its left hand, and Papa's croissant with its right hand. Now we were all definitely awake.
On our way to the room, we stopped by the reception and asked about the possibility of horseback riding. Later, we arranged for a 1.5-hour ride for the next day, or so we thought.
We settled down on 4 sun loungers at the beach and decided to go snorkeling first.
The water had a pleasant temperature, and we saw many fish and some blue starfish.
Back at the beach, we made ourselves comfortable on the sun loungers. At 3 PM, the receptionist came and said that it was time for the horseback ride. Apparently, there was some misunderstanding.
Anna and I quickly sprinted to our room, changed clothes, and made our way to the boat, where everyone was already waiting for us. 20 minutes later, we arrived and were greeted by our driver, who took us to the equestrian center belonging to The Menjangan Hotel.
We rode with our guide through the national park for 1.5 hours. We rode to the sea twice, where Anna and I took photos.
After a nice ride, we were taken back to the dock and brought to the hotel by boat. Papa and Bastian, who had spent the afternoon at the beach, were already waiting for us.
After we all showered, we went to dinner - since we hadn't had lunch, we were all hungry.
After we were satisfied and completely content again, it was time to go to bed.
