day 12 samos - portomarin

After a quiet night accompanied by the sound of the river, we don't get up at six but a little after seven. This way, our bodies have regained some energy.

After getting up, we take some pictures of the monastery. It would probably be more beautiful inside...

Since we can't find any cold milk for our dry cereal bar, we go to a restaurant and order a hot chocolate.

After this boost, we continue on our way. After several uphill climbs and already over 20km, we decide to walk on foot on the Camino to find possibly a store.

We want to make a "bird's nest" from the old bread mixed with an egg. It will be challenging until we can buy our raw eggs at a restaurant. But we will manage that too and eat "bird's nest" with bell pepper-onion salad in the middle of nowhere.

Back on the bike path, we continue to Portomarin. The route is very beautiful and the landscape is similar to in Switzerland. The weather is also very similar.

Once we arrive in Portomarin, we check into our double room at the hostel after a very thorough check-in by an older gentleman.

After taking a shower and doing laundry, I buy ingredients for tomato spaghetti, as the kitchen is very nice. A supermarket is quickly found, and now we start cooking and look forward to a long and restful night.
