Over a month has passed since we last spoke here.
This was mainly due to the fact that we have had a very quiet time in the past few weeks.
But let's start from the beginning:
After two months in Georgia, it was time for us to embark on another journey. After a short stopover in Istanbul and almost 24 hours of travel time, we had reached our destination: Sweden.
Some may remember that last year, after our road trip through the entire country, we spent three weeks doing volunteer work with Hanna and André near the town of Lysvik.
The two have since become very good friends and have followed our journey over the past year.
Therefore, it had been arranged that we would be invited by them again to stay with them for a month.
We couldn't and didn't want to pass up this great opportunity.
So, it happened that we have now been here at this beautiful place in Sweden for 4 weeks.
In addition to small craft projects such as renovating the veranda or building shelves, we have spent a lot of time in nature. The Swedish forests have once again captivated us.
Michi even went on a two-day hike into the wilderness, including camping and bonfires by a beautiful lake.
In addition, André had infected him with his passion for bouldering and rock climbing. Therefore, the two spent several days and hours exploring and scaling various rock formations.
As with our last visit, our evenings were once again characterized by countless 7 Wonders games and great conversations.
The time here in the countryside and in nature has once again been extremely beneficial to us after our stay in the capital of Georgia.
We are incredibly grateful for the weeks we have spent here with Hanna and André, and we have taken them extremely close to our hearts. They have promised to come and visit us on our journey very soon, as they have both been infected with the travel bug again through us and want to escape the Swedish winter.
For us, once again - how could it be otherwise - we are heading to Lagos on the Algarve coast of Portugal.
This place has become a little piece of home for us and we are very excited to see some of our friends there again.
See you soon!
