Tag 179 - Changing accommodation to the container ☺️

Hello everyone!

Today was the day when we changed our accommodation :).

We were very lucky with the last bungalow and were allowed to stay there until 12 o'clock.

The way was incredibly beautiful! We drove through palm forests and jungle like we had never seen before!

After about 30 minutes drive we reached the next place to stay. This is a hotel that consists entirely of containers. Really cool! However, since we could only check in at 2 o'clock, we decided to go out for a meal. We drove around for over an hour looking for something that looks nice. Without success... We were starting to get really hungry and wanted to eat something at one of the food stands in a market. Not so easy, because the English language is not widespread here at all. We actually found a snack bar that had a menu and ordered fried rice with chicken.

Afterwards, we sat by the harbor for a while and watched the trash that was washed up. It's pretty bad...

We arrived at our container at about 4 p.m. and brought all our stuff inside. It's really well done and something completely different... But somehow not really ours. Everyone can see into each other's rooms, the pool is in the middle, and forget about having a private spot outside. But anyway, now we have seen it and it's only for one night :).

At about 6 p.m. we decided to drive around a bit more and look for a restaurant. Not easy at all! Two restaurants that we found on TripAdvisor didn't exist anymore and somehow there was nothing that was even a little inviting... In the end, we did find something. Then the menu arrived: Everything in Thai! We couldn't even decipher the letters!

We tried to explain in English what we would like... Without success... With Kevin's translator, we managed to understand each other - more or less. The scene itself was quite amusing: Three totally overwhelmed Thais and the two of us also overwhelmed :).

When the food arrived, we noticed that a mistake must have crept in... My yellow curry didn't taste like yellow curry... More like fish soup... At least Kevin's food matched :).

Out of politeness, I forced myself to eat a few bites, but soon had to give up...

Next stop: KFC!

No, we're not proud of it, but after searching for food all day, a burger was just right!

Now we're back in our container and letting the day come to an end :).

We will change our location again tomorrow, but more about that in the next entry ;)
