The scent of spring is in the air. I could smell it in my nose this morning.
Why wait, better start right away is my favorite motto, but Frau Kati says that strength lies in calmness.
So let's take a breath and sort ourselves out before we set off. And the journey is the destination.
To walk our path and marvel and report. Don't forget breaks.
We'll have to take a break soon, because a showy birch is shamelessly naked and free.
Sometimes I want to shed my fur coat and feel the same way. Does rolling around also lead to the goal?
Not far away we meet a gnarled old man. No wonder, he is caught in a net.
Frau Kati says he's just pretending, because the net is quite holey.
We express our sympathy and soon sense an untamed urge to act.
The reason becomes visible at the next bend in the road. Everything is ready here for a new foundation.
Whether in life or for a warm shelter, a foundation that holds is worth its weight in gold.
I wonder if that has reached this far? We walk past the reading stone pile.
I, for one, definitely read with my nose and here there is a whole library for me.
Frau Kati is considering whether she would prefer stones or a grape harvest.
But then I hear her delighted exclamation that a treasure has been discovered.
Indeed, there it is, a stone heart! I'd rather have that than a heart of stone, we both agree on that.
As we walk along the path, we become aware that emptiness and the past are often hard to bear.
New things are in sight, but before that, you often stand alone, facing others.
The group of spruce trees looms threateningly in front of us, staring at us.
Will we dare to pass by the shadow of the past? To walk through with our focus on the horizon behind?
Soon it's done.
Then we see it. The tree of wisdom, the guardian of time, that unites everything, the old and the new.
He is a mediator and no wonder all these tree individuals at the roadside have fallen for him.
I also feel comfortable in his presence. The forest animals also seem to enjoy the scents. How exciting that is for my nose.
After we are allowed to pass him with dignity and I have enjoyed some soothing goodies, Frau Kati sees the promised land at the edge of the forest.
Where everything is united and new paths open up. Where the deer graze and the air smells of change.
Another valley opens up for us, as if we had traveled to a different time period.
We enjoy the view, even though it's always a bit hard for me to put my nose on pause.
On the way back, we can record a particularly valuable find.
'Finding a foothold' in this new level even gets its own sculpture here.
Passing by diverse tree art, Frau Kati even discovers a figure that makes her think. It's hard to understand people...
Why?
According to her, contradictions are like salt in the soup of life, as she points to the headless beauty.
We end our round today with the impression of a final shedding of the old, unnecessary remnants of the past.
A few trees are kind enough to demonstrate this to us in a very vivid way.
The artwork of a sculptor is a farewell gift that gives us one last burst of color and touches Frau Kati's heart before we happily and full of impressions start our journey home.
