Guilt for that, or rather the wonderful reason for it, is he - the Koserbach.
On the tracks of mining in the Kosertal we find some treasures, just no gold. Despite the promising name golden Adlerhütte. That's where we start at the hiking parking lot.
We take the marking of the nature trail.
What nature teaches us here is much more than just the information on the beautiful wooden signs that appear again and again along the way.
The cozy circular path leads us directly to the water, at least me. I first put my paw in it.
As a true Mediterranean, it's still a bit cold for me to swim here in the early morning.
Now I can explore the scents of the forest in peace because Frau Kati happily greets the Koserbach.
As soon as we take a few steps, it becomes clear to us - there are probably some rare places of rest and residence to admire here.
Why else would benches hang in the trees at lofty heights?
And bridges made of mossy-velvety wooden structures invite you to cross the Koserbach?
Frau Kati says that there are many paths and it doesn't matter which one you take, but how you take it.
I prefer to take the path right through the water. But the lovingly made bridges also delight us
That even rhymes!
I knew it, I'm a poet!
Some wrinkled stone faces watch us, sometimes grinning, sometimes grimacing, while we bathe in the forest.
No wonder, we don't always have a good mood and feel like chatting either.
The path winds through the wonderfully fresh morning forest. The creek provides the right musical atmosphere.
What more could you want?
We soon admire the next building according to the motto: BEAUTIFUL LIVING.
This simple elegant little house for lovers or an older bachelor nestles elegantly at the foot of a mighty tree on the mountain, beautiful view included.
Continuing towards the mill, there is also architecture to marvel at for humans.
Well, I have to admit it's somewhat simple, this barren hut.
But minimalism is trendy, says Frau Kati.
She particularly likes the beautiful white horse behind the hut. You actually don't need more: animals, people who do you good, a roof over your head, something to eat and lots of nature. There is plenty of that here for free.
And so we take a break and admire the variety of colors of the clearing, which lies before us and slowly awakes from its sleep.
We pass the mill on a well signposted meadow path, cross a small bridge and the path then winds up the mountain on the other side of the creek.
Here they rely on tradition and monument preservation.
A quaint cottage with an open front door makes us curious to peek inside. Unfortunately, our noses are too big, but at least we can smell how good it smells of fir and moss.
Following the path, we notice when we look into the sunny treetops - there are wonderful oases of tranquility here for all forest dwellers.
Loungers and hammocks in almost all sizes invite you to relax in the sun.
Frau Kati says that people usually have little time and peace while hiking, which is why it seems they haven't provided any for them here - a shame!
As we marvel at the hammocks, Frau Kati suddenly cheers and bends down low to the ground. Indeed, there is a completely free strawberry field in the forest. The little sweet berries are carefully picked, saying thank you is self-evident for us for this gift, and we enjoy them with joy.
What a feast of strawberries!
Unfortunately, there are also nature squatters in the forest here.
A dwelling was simply devastated and left completely neglected, maybe it is also a work of natural art and is meant to inspire us to meditate on the beauty of chaos.
I think Frau Kati is doing that right now and I'm allowed to graze on the meadow opposite.
Good for digestion, I tell you, and all without schnapps. Well fortified with fantastic clarity, we also admire the yellow beauties that wave goodbye along the way.
You don't see such elegant skirts every day, some here just wear pants, but then everyone wants to be in the photo.
BEAUTIFUL LIVING continues to accompany us.
Actually, we find basement apartments with skylights, feather-decorated detached houses, and even exclusive panorama-flat roof buildings with integrated landing places in the mountains.
There's something for everyone, don't say that the animal world doesn't have good architects.
Almost at the end of our circular tour, we take a detour to Ilsestein, which sits a little off the beaten track, but from where you have a beautiful view of the Adlerhüttenthal.
We climb a small part of the Frankenwaldsteigla, and even though we have no idea who Ilse is, she gives us a few beautiful and scenic moments.
Frau Kati is a bit disappointed because her mobile phone has suddenly stopped working. But Ilse takes it very calmly, and so the way back proceeds without a photo, then passing interesting rock faces.
As well as a collection box for all nature beings placed right in the middle of the path - well, we gladly contribute something from our remaining butter pretzel.
As the crowning finale, I treat myself to a well-deserved bath with now pleasant temperatures, and I estimate that I collect 15 sticks from the rushing brook.
How wonderful, Frau Kati also thinks, as she cools her feet in the water and explains to me that people call this Kneippen.
Strange, I always thought that water is applied internally there. So I find Kneippen much more exciting!
I quickly jump into the car before a grim-looking man with his dachshund crosses our path.
Frau Kati says he must have had a bad night's sleep.
He should have done that here on one of the BEAUTIFUL LIVING places, then his mood would certainly be excellent.
See you soon on the next adventure,
Your Gretl
