Pisa

We had planned a day for Pisa. In advance, we had chosen a parking space and wanted to visit the leaning tower and the sights around it. Phil had booked a tour for the tower. Once in Pisa, we first strengthened ourselves in a very good focaccia bar before exploring the city further. The weather was quite warm at 25 degrees, so we also took the dogs with us as it was too hot in the motorhome. Since Pisa is relatively small on foot, this was not a problem at all. The tower with the cathedral is very centrally located and there are many streets with delicious restaurants and bars around it.

From the tower, you could see the whole city, and during the ascent and descent, the leaning of the tower was clearly noticeable.

In the evening, we drove to the marina and found a nice parking space by the sea just before Livorno. There, we ended the day with a beach walk at sunset.
