Shortly after Faucon

Faucon is one of the villages in the wider area around Vaison la Romaine that promises a lot from a certain distance, but once you're there, it doesn't quite deliver. The view from here across to Mont Ventoux should actually be particularly beautiful. However, it's hard to find a place, a terrace, from which you could enjoy the view. Here in Faucon in particular, every promising terrace seems to be privately owned, hedges, palisades and driveways with metal gates prevent you from getting in and out. The central handrails in the middle of the village are reminiscent of Paris' Montmartre. Later in the afternoon, we spontaneously decided to take a short bike ride to Faucon.
