Krabi - now I've had enough of Thailand.

Hello hellohello, I'm all excited because I'm leaving Thailand tomorrow, but first let me tell you about the last two days!

Right now, I'm in Aow Nang, which is part of Krabi, and it's raining cats and dogs! Nevertheless, it's quite nice here.

On my first day, I mainly caught up on sleep and in the evening, I sat downstairs with the hostel people and had some beers. They're all super cool here and the hostel is amazing, the best one I've ever stayed in. I'm paying 2.50 euros per night here, all the rooms have air conditioning AND the showers are actually hot and have a warm stream!!!!!!! OMG, I love that hahah. In the evenings, they also give out two free BBQ skewers (for me, of course, it's vegetables or corn on the cob). They just opened and need good reviews :)

So, this morning we went out for breakfast with a few people and that's when it started raining. We wanted to go to Railay Beach, but you can only get there by longtail boat, which was obviously problematic in the rain. So, we decided to get a Thai massage first and then decide what to do next. It was amazing, as always. I've become a fan of Thai massages - the more it hurts, the better it is :p

When we came out of there, the sun suddenly started shining and we immediately took the boat to Railay.

I didn't regret it because Railay is simply beautiful. I have to say, I have seen a lot, jungle, mountains, desert, beaches blablabla and a lot doesn't impress me anymore. But Railay Beach? A dream! It looks like a Windows screensaver! Huge cliffs and rocks, completely quiet, a beautiful beach, simply super super beautiful. I would have loved to climb there (that's also what it's known for), but with the rain in between, I didn't feel like it.

And just as we were settling down for a coffee, it started pouring again. Perfect timing, as always, for today.

When it stopped again, we looked for a restaurant and had dinner. Of course, there was red, spicy curry with vegetables and tofu again (I think I'll soon grow a third breast from all the soy) and it was delicious - but expensive (well, you have to treat yourself every now and then)

Afterwards, the sun came out again and we took a few great photos and quickly took a boat back to avoid the rain. Back in Aow Nang, we walked past the street food market and I treated myself to coconut ice cream with peanuts again - the best combination ever.

Just now, I had another skewer and I searched the internet for my next destination. I knew I didn't want to stay in Thailand anymore and I need to be in Malaysia on November 9th. So, I decided to go to Kuala Lumpur tomorrow! It will be a nice torture - a 10-hour journey! But I'm curious, so far I've only traveled by bus at night, this time I'm traveling during the day and there will probably be a great landscape to see!

In any case, I'm really looking forward to it! Not so much to Kuala Lumpur itself (I've heard from many people that it's like Bangkok), but to a new country, new (apparently even better and cheaper) food, new culture, fewer tourists, and another big city. And even cooler: on the 28th, my beloved Oli is coming to Kuala Lumpur and I think I convinced her on the phone to join me on the 29th to go to the Cameron Highlands (mountainous region in northern Thailand) before we go to Penang. It was so nice to talk to her (I think the last time we saw each other was when we were in Warsaw) and I'm really looking forward to traveling a bit with her again.

Yes, I'm very happy and excited right now, I'm super excited about Malaysia and also about the journey tomorrow!

In addition, I'm currently planning my entire trip a bit more - I only have '6 months left' and I want to make the most of it, so I have to see what I plan or book in advance and what I do spontaneously. I actually want to fly as little as possible, but my desired destinations hardly make that possible.

Currently, my plan looks something like this (but anyone who knows me well knows that it can change in the next moment anyway):

Thailand - Malaysia - Indonesia - Philippines - Vietnam/Myanmar - Tokyo - Seoul (South Korea) - Morocco - Jordan - Azerbaijan - Istanbul

ahhahah a very strange route, but I'm also a strange person :p

I just have to see how I can do it cheapest and how much time I spend in each place.

Why Seoul? I met a cool Korean guy in Egypt who recommended it to me - so why not?

Why Morocco? I really want to go to the Blue City of Chefchaouen (told to me by a Chinese girl in Egypt and a Moroccan guy here in Aow Nang)

Why Jordan? Don't ask, I love the Middle East and all

And wtf Azerbaijan??? hahahah, when I was in Warsaw, there were these huge holiday advertising posters of Azerbaijan all in one place! You can't imagine how cool it was. And I don't know anything about this country - so super interesting. Besides, I looove unusual travel destinations (as you can hardly tell)

And what's up with Istanbul again? Well, since I was in Istanbul, I vowed to end my trip there. It would be even more awesome if I could spend more time there. As luck would have it, I discovered a cool volunteer project with refugees there. If they accept me, I would stay there for another 1-2 months - that would be the end of my trip!
