As it is about full moon time, it is time to leave Derby and head for Broome for the markets (food!) and nice views.
On the way Stuart wanted to visit the Derby Prison Tree: Stuart was not allowed to come close to or even enter the tree as there are snakes living in the tree nowadays... Boab trees seem to have been used mainly as a prison in previous days, given it is not the first Prison Tree Stuart has visited.
On another stop along the road, there were lots of feathers - looks like from a big bird, but no leftovers to be seen.
Arriving in Broome, Stuart demanded that we drive to the nearest car wash and clean his home/transport after all the days of dirt. Well, even an intensive multiple-step cleaning procedure with brush and high-pressure, monitored by Stuart as well as a vacuum clean inside, did not remove all the red dust & dirt from the streets of the last few weeks. So, cleaning the car is also on the to-do list for the next few days in Broome...
After days of having no supermarkets or roadhouses with food, we were very happy to fill up on groceries, sweets & treats in the supermarkets. Not different from other countries, the festive delights are already on offer, so Christmas seems to be very close already.
