Ja so sind die Controller......wenn Ihr weiterhin soviel Geld spart, reist Ihr gratis um die Welt!!!! Es grüßt der Betriebswirt....-:)Lofalitsidwa: 29.12.2016
After our lives revolved almost exclusively around the upcoming trip in the last months and especially in the last weeks, with flight bookings, accommodation reservations, flipping through countless Lonely Planets, completing or canceling various insurances, and countless other preparations, we could slowly start to realize the upcoming adventure when the last workday had passed.
But before that, we had to enjoy Christmas with the family and spend a few calm days, before our Travel Around the World adventure was supposed to start. The days were very emotional for us and we enjoyed consciously spending time with friends and family. Thank you so much for the wonderful days and your support, we will miss you a lot and of course, we are looking forward to hearing from you in the next days, weeks, and months!
So that was the plan, to start the journey well-fed from the Christmas feasts. However, the preparation stress from the last weeks, a bad cold for Lisa, and a "smaller" stomach upset for Tobi made this anything but easy. We still embarked on the journey to Buenos Aires and endured the approximately 15-hour flight with a stopover in Sao Paulo, mostly sleeping.
Arriving in Argentina, obtaining cash proved to be a bit difficult at first. ATM fees of almost 10% were charged, which the controller's heart simply could not allow to pay :-) Accordingly, we exchanged a smaller amount of our cash reserve into Argentine pesos and then took a taxi to our hostel. This was an actual bargain, costing only €6 for 2 people and 4 backpacks. In the next few days, we will see how we get along in Argentina, as unfortunately neither of us really speaks Spanish, but we are still optimistic :-)
