We drove from Robe to almost Adelaide along the Coorong National Park. The park is shaped by sand dunes, lagoons, and coastal vegetation. The uniqueness of the Coorong is the mixing of fresh water from the Murray River and groundwater with saltwater from the Southern Ocean.
We also visited an Australian heritage park, Old Tailem Town Pioneer Village. Not as well maintained as our Hessenpark, but it gives a good picture of the conditions under which the settlers used to live.
With these impressions, we reached Adelaide, a city... We were a bit overwhelmed, a lot of traffic, a lot of people, and a bit more hectic.
We explored the city center of Adelaide that evening, nice wine bars, many restaurants, and often beautiful old houses between the skyscrapers.
