Hey! What's up?

I would like to report a little bit here again. 🙋🏼‍♀️

Lately, I've been quite busy with everything, as you have probably noticed. We spent a week watching counseling videos to be prepared for any situation that can happen at summer camps.

Things are going well in my focus area 'Media'. We have now started shooting and editing videos. This is more work than you might think. How do I edit the individual clips correctly? What do I really want to show? How do I keep the interest of my viewers? Which music fits best with the content? Many of these questions arise every time I edit these videos. 😅

I have also finished my first own video! I show a little bit of the ranch. You can see it on my Facebook page. Here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/100005667586890/posts/1575960349269536/?d=n

But I also enjoy taking photos. Over time, you get the right eye for good pictures. The bush with the berries is a good example of this. (see pictures)

When I have free time, I like to simply ride in the arena with some of the students or spend time with the animals from my counseling family. Aren't they cute? 😍

Today we had a one-day retreat. The small group kindly accepted the offers. There was the opportunity to go sledding or play a kind of paintball in the gym.

As the media team, we had the task of capturing the moments. The hardest part was shooting in the gym and not getting hit by the balls. 😅 That's why we got a high-visibility vest and a helmet. Tomorrow we will start a game among the students and staff. I'm looking forward to it. 😄

On Monday, me and four other students are going to a conference on the topic of 'Christian Camps'. It will certainly be a good preparation for the upcoming camps in summer, even though I will most likely stay in the media area and provide enough pictures. 😉

Another topic that is crucial for me is currently on my mind. What am I going to do after this year? 🤔 Do I stay here and do another training? Apply for a visa change for an internship? Or rather go back home? 🤷🏼‍♀️ What is the situation in August? Is it easy to come home? Can I go back to university in Germany or will everything still be online? Questions upon questions and I don't really know what the right thing to do is. What I do know is that I'm doing well right now and I'm in a good place at the moment. Other than that, I go by what Americans always say: 'In God we trust!'

That was a little report about what is still preoccupying me besides my experiences and adventures.

Have a good week! ☺️

See ya!
