Mackenzie Beach - one of our favorite beaches

Mackenzie Beach 🏖, we love it here, we feel comfortable here. For us, it's the perfect beach, because it has pretty much everything except peace, seclusion, romance, or silence. 😉 With kids, you have completely different priorities.

We drive here about ten minutes by car. Outside the season, you can park for free, otherwise you pay a moderate €2.50. We usually settle near the playground, very easy to find, because Mackenzie Beach is only one kilometer long.

Two sunbeds and an umbrella cost the same as everywhere on the island (as regulated by the government) €7.50. We rarely take advantage of this offer, we prefer to come with a picnic blanket and foldable beach chairs. We don't have shade, but right next to the playground, in front of one of the cafes, we always find a shady spot.

Mackenzie has public toilets, changing rooms, and showers (including foot showers or for toddlers 😅). We use them gladly, at least the kids don't have to shower again at home.

In addition to sun ☀️, beach 🏝, and sea 🌊, Mackenzie Beach also offers a great gastronomic landscape. There are true delicacies, for example at Rebuke; for the kids, there are Food Park City with an attached playground and the cafe South Coast with an indoor playground unbeatable.

All in all, a worry-free beach, clean, exciting, and always worth a visit!
