82. Day: Early in the morning, we leave our remote spot in the Greek mountains. Birgit didn't sleep well because she heard a 'large' animal prowling around the car at night. The fact that there are still several hundred bears around here has fueled her nocturnal fantasies.
After less than 2 hours of driving, we are already in Albania. This time the entry was smooth. The first two hours of driving within Albania pass through green and mountainous areas. It could also be Austria or Germany. However, you can still see the difference in the buildings, the roads, and the primitive tools of the farmers, like a plow pulled by a horse.
By the way, the main roads are in a decent condition. Some unevenness, but rarely potholes. So, you could make decent progress if it weren't for the constant, in my opinion completely unnecessary, massive speed limits. And of course, the other road users. You always have to expect everything, like a cyclist on the highway going in the opposite direction!
Around noon, we arrive at the beach of 'Darezeze e Re'. After a short exploration walk, we park Nuggy in the parking lot of what appears to be an abandoned beach bar, because it looks pretty good here. Can be compared to the beaches on the Greek mainland. We spend the afternoon at the beach swimming, doing exercises, lying down, reading, and collecting seashells. Since the tourist season has not yet started here, we can use the sun umbrellas and loungers undisturbed. Some of the guests prefer to drive their cars along the very wide and deep beach.
Just before we go to the next beach bar for a after-work beer (we are the only guests), the residents of 'our' beach bar return. Although verbal communication is not possible, it quickly becomes clear that we can stay.
