The dinner from yesterday really surprised me. Until then we only had potatoes, pasta and pizza, so everything rather familiar and well-known.
When I came into the kitchen last night, I first thought there was mashed potatoes, because that's what it looked like at first glance. I was already a little depressed because I had already had a large portion of it for lunch at school... But then the girls explained to me that it was a mash made from green bananas. Now I was really curious, especially since they served it with scrambled eggs. But it was really delicious and I want to learn how to make it, so I can also give it to you in Germany sometime ;)
The morning today was rather unspectacular, we learned a bit of Spanish and looked up important vocabulary for music class.
Marysol (the school principal) picked us up together with Dominik, but we took a taxi, I think because it was even warmer today than yesterday.
When we arrived at school, there was a big shock...... Anna's phone was not there, although she still had it in the taxi. They immediately called the taxi company. And what luck... the phone was still there and brought to the school.
Hm, so next it would probably be Dominik's turn to lose something, right?
Otherwise, we didn't have anything to do at school today, because our classes officially start next week.
So for us it was time to eat again. :)
Here we had a rice-bean mix with meat, of course without meat for me. One of the cooks even made me an egg and there was also salad :D. But Anna and I didn't finish everything, so Dominik will probably blame us if the weather is bad tomorrow. The question is, how do you define bad weather!?
Afterwards, we stayed in the cafeteria and watched Ochi, one of the teachers there.
We could get good ideas and inspiration for our future classes from watching him. I also took the opportunity to take some pictures of the school for you:
here is also the view from a balcony at the school:
Finally, we were allowed to help a bit in physical education, topic: ball games
Here are also some pictures of the juice and some milk. Let's see if you can recognize which one is which..
We were brought home by bus by the music teacher, whose name I unfortunately forgot :(
This time we sat almost directly with our backs to the driver. The door there is always left open and I was sometimes afraid that Anna would fall out. Luckily she didn't and except for a breakdown, which the driver quickly fixed, we arrived home safely.
The shower here doesn't have hot water, but you don't need it anyway. There's nothing better than a cold shower when you come home.
And mosquito nets... they're great too, unless a mosquito manages to get in... then... well, it's not so nice anymore.. but everyone knows that.
I think that's it... I might have forgotten something, but I'm really tired. So that's it for today!
In Germany it's already 01:30...
