At this point, guest blogger Mama Viajera writes a few posts about our adventures together during the four weeks in Argentina and Uruguay in December.
The pictures are taken by me.
My posts continue with the usual delay.
After a 'laundry day' in Salta, we fly to Puerto Madryn. Car rental and drive to Peninsula Valdes, all nature reserve. In 5 days, we visit the hotspots and see penguins, sea lions, elephant seals, even 'Emus' and an armadillo up close. We are fascinated and observe (and photograph) for hours or listen to guided tours explaining the animals' way of life. The guanacos, the 'lowland variant' of the vicuñas, make it difficult for us to take pictures. They are everywhere by the roadside eating, but they hear so well that they quickly run away (literally) as soon as we stop. The whale watching tour is also great. Valdes is definitely worth a visit on any trip to Argentina.
Christmas is approaching and we get to spend it with Marc's colleague Yuca and her Uruguayan-Taiwanese family in Punta del Este, Uruguay.
