Still have some sandman in my eyes...but I want to hold on to the last 1.5 days before going into the water.
After the first day at Lake Maggiore, there was a huge storm and I didn't think much more would happen...but I was proven wrong...well, it wasn't really events... but at least I have to correct myself when it comes to the fact that Italians don't just start talking to you randomly when you go out...and that's worth writing down...especially considering that I now believe that something like this only happens in Italy...and when you're traveling alone. ;)
So after the clouds cleared, I decided to go in search of food...I already had pasta for lunch...but having a pizza as a backup wouldn't hurt...so I got a fancy pizza from the store next door... "fancy" because when I arrived and asked if I could take the pizza to go, they looked at me with huge eyes as if it was unusual and asked why I didn't want to eat here...I casually replied that I'm alone and that I would prefer to eat by the lake...the waiter winked at me and said "okay...only for you we will make it possible...sit down please"...while sipping my beer, the waiter kept winking at me...I sat there like a little schoolgirl, shyly smiling back...haha...these Italians...I thought to myself...
When the pizza was finally in the box in my hands, I said goodbye politely...the waiter winked and I left...off to the dock that I saw earlier...
The storm clouds had vanished...but the sky was still very spectacular...the gentle rays of sunshine were fighting their way back through and the sunset was beautiful...with my feet in the water, I eagerly opened my pizza box and burst into laughter for the first time...
I found the waiters phone number written on a piece of paper ;DDD
Amused, I ate half of my pizza and enjoyed this - yes for me - event ;)
Finished eating and back to the room...before dinner I already wrote a blog post and had a few beers...it was time to slowly close my eyes.
It's Sunday...I'm already a bit lost...but I think it's okay to be...(I used to accuse my ex-boyfriend of being too organized on vacation)...anyway...after breakfast, as I do every morning, I sit on a bench by the lake and have my second coffee there and usually smoke a cigarette...soooo...what could I do??
BOTANICAL GARDEN - VILLA TARANTO
...And the winner is...the botanical garden...I've had the opportunity to go to one before...they exist in many places...but I never did it...walking around and looking at flowers was always too unspectacular for me. But I'm at Lake Maggiore...where, if not here, do you leisurely stroll around and look at beautiful things...
I take the boat again...it's not far...but I love taking the boat...even if it's only five minutes...
I get off and see a small hill in front of me...so that's it...ah, the entrance building here...of course it costs money again...never mind, I pay and start walking.
Contrary to my expectations, I find it beautiful...absolutely wonderful...I stroll and smile, occasionally stroking the surface of the plants and I feel good...the soothing world of flowers...especially when the temperatures are bearable today.
I leisurely walk up the little mountain...always surrounded by flowers...at the summit, I see a hammock park...the perfect time for a siesta.
After a short nap, I make my way back down...the day still has a few hours left...what else could I add?...well...I prefer to go boating...I've seen enough small towns...it may sound silly now, but after the 10th Italian old town, they all look kind of similar...I'll skip Cannobio on Sunday...I've already seen all the Vorarlberg people yesterday (and in the future again)...besides, the market in intra is better than the one in Cannobio (and I've been there)...so I decide to do what I love doing the most...boating...getting a day ticket is quick. Quickly secure the best seat on the ship and off we go...I pass wonderful coves, impressive islands and finally arrive in Stresa..."ah, I can't stay here?"...okay, off to Stresa...then I'll just stroll through one last town...have an ice cream and then take the boat back later...
When I arrive back at the home port, it's already 6 or 7 o'clock...I have another Aperol on the beach and then go to my room...a few clouds are still hanging around...I don't miss anything outside...better go to the room and bed...tomorrow it's supposed to be cloudless and hot...I'll have a day at the beach...woohoo...
Now it's morning!!! Yay...into the water.
ps: I didn't call the waiter;)...maybe one of you would like to do that ;)
