After a night in Jeffreys Bay which is considered an absolute surf spot, we continued to Addo. In Addo, we were able to go on a morning safari again in the famous Addo Elephant National Park. The park, with an area of 1640 km2, is the largest national park in the Eastern Cape and is home to over 600 elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, zebras, warthogs, and 7 lions 🦁🐘🦓🐃🐗

During the 4-hour safari, we were able to experience the amazing wilderness up close again. Right at the beginning of the tour, we were able to watch two lions playing freely. A little later, we encountered an elephant family with their baby (3 months old) and another group of lions. This time it was a group of female lions who were enjoying their breakfast. The male lions were lazing a few hundred meters away. Unbelievably, we saw all 7 lions in the entire park on this tour. Considering that they are allowed to roam freely over these 1600 km2, we were very lucky.

We ended our second-last night in South Africa comfortably with a glass of white wine and a delicious dinner. Tomorrow we will go to the last destination, Port Elizabeth 🌁
