Since we had already covered more than half of the distance, we set off a little later that morning - towards Ilanz.
As it was a bit more relaxed than usual, we were already sitting in the first restaurant around 9:00. After a short shopping trip, we continued on.
When we arrived at the spot where the front and back Rhine rivers met, we left the back Rhine behind and continued on to Leide Tuma.
It slowly started to go uphill - now we could admire the Rhine from above. After a longer break, we continued optimistically, confident that we would be able to tackle the next mountain classification. Exhausted, we arrived in Ilanz in the evening. Since there was no campsite in Ilanz, we stayed by the Rhine. Erwin cooked a hearty hunter's soup for us, which we really needed after the exertions.
