We were already woken up at 4:15.
After quickly packing everything and taking a few photos, we continued towards Chur.
However, Mani, Umi, and Erwin got tired around 8:00, as their aches and pains were slowly becoming unbearable.
It was decided that the three of them would drive to Chur and reserve a spot for us at the campsite.
The rest of us could now increase our pace a bit.
Soon, we caught sight of the Rhine River, which would be our constant companion from now on.
After an excellent lunch in Maienfeld, we rested in the shade, as we didn't want to endure the midday heat.
Then at 15:00, we continued on and soon after, we spotted our destination. We could recognize it by a tall chimney, which, as Erhard provocatively pointed out, belonged to Chur.
However, even though Mr. and Mrs. Lutz took our luggage, complaints started to arise.
When we reached the chimney, we were very happy, but our joy quickly disappeared when we found out that we hadn't actually reached Chur yet.
Tired and struggling to keep up with Erhard's pace, we kept going.
Finally, shortly after 18:00, we were warmly welcomed by our fan club at the campsite.
Our feet were massaged, blisters were treated, and sensitive areas were covered with adhesive plasters.
However, due to tiredness, the strong appetite for Erwin's cooked spaghetti was absent.
