Norway

The first day in Norway started with a loss. My (Christian) wedding ring fell off and rolled through the camper. We immediately searched for it but couldn't find it right away. It could only be in the camper, so after a while, we gave up and continued driving. However, after three days, when the ring still didn't show up, we started to panic. We turned the camper upside down one last time and almost didn't expect to find it, but then it finally appeared. It had rolled through a small slot into the compartment where the camper's technology is located, what a (stupid) coincidence!

At least we had good weather in Norway, at least at the beginning and end of our stay. In between, there was also bad weather with a lot of rain, which is typical for Norway. We mainly traveled in the southwest of the country, where there are beautiful fjord landscapes, mountains, and lakes. There are so many beautiful places in Norway, so I will only briefly list our absolute highlights to avoid making a novel out of this blog entry:

-Lysefjord

-Sognefjord

-Aurlandsfjord

-Geirangerfjord

-Trollstigen (the most famous mountain road in Norway)

-Trandal (a small village with a guesthouse and parking spaces that can only be reached by ferry)

-Voringfossen (waterfall and gorge with a viewing platform)

-Odda (village at the end of the Sorfjord)

Another highlight was experiencing what it's like when it doesn't get dark at night. The sunset was around midnight in June and the sunrise was shortly after three in the morning. But even after sunset, it was still relatively bright, which created a very special atmosphere. Furthermore, we also visited some stave churches that were located near our route. The oldest one dates back to the 11th century! But pictures can convey a better impression than a thousand words, so I will only say that Norway was the highlight of our Scandinavia trip and we can highly recommend it to everyone!
