We continue our journey on Achill Island, along the coastal road to Keem Bay.
We are not allowed to take the bus for the last part and walk down the road to the beautiful bay.
Sheep are everywhere, climbing the steepest slopes. They are an essential part of Ireland.
The weather leaves much to be desired. It is quite chilly and the sun only occasionally peeks out from behind the clouds. Markus treats us to soft ice cream and we enjoy the view of the beautiful bay. Unfortunately, we cannot stay overnight here...there are prohibitory signs everywhere. So we continue on to a quiet and manageable town called Doogort.
Right in front of the beach, we find a nice spot to stay overnight. The clouds are hanging low, but the lighting before the storm is very special.
When we return from our evening walk, it starts raining heavily. Only the sheep pass by, there is no one else here.
