Our trip today takes us across the border to Zimbabwe. In Victoria Falls, we check into our hotel. After settling into our room, we drive to the falls. We hike along the impressive waterfalls and admire the cascading water masses. Unfortunately, there was little water at the moment, but still a lot. We even saw a rainbow. After waiting for the shuttle to return, we decide to walk back. Unfortunately, we were caught in a heavy rain shower and arrived soaking wet at our accommodation. In the evening, we enjoyed a farewell dinner with our group and the two guides.
The next day, we decided to explore the small town a bit. We strolled through the streets, browsed the souvenir shops and visited the 'Elephantwalk'. We also bought some postcards.
We also visited an African market where we admired the numerous wood products and soapstone statues.
In the evening, we went to an African restaurant where we tried the local cuisine accompanied by live music.
On the way back, we were startled by an elephant crossing our path about ten meters ahead of us.
After breakfast the next morning, we embarked on our two-day journey to Johannesburg.
