I woke up at 6:15 when my roommate went to the bathroom. I discovered surprisingly late. Even though I was still a little tired, I went into the hallway with all my things and packed everything up because there was another longer stage today. I ate a piece of bread with the remaining guacamole and a piece of chocolate and so I left shortly before 7. Everything in the city was lit, so I didn't need the headlamp at all. And on the way I met a few revelers who were on their way home. When I started I didn't have any pain in my feet or anything else, but that was about to change. I first had an 8 kilometer route to La virgen del Camino ahead of me, but it was very relaxed. Then you could choose between two routes again: the classic route, which runs directly next to the motorway the whole time and, according to the travel guide, is only for masochists, or the alternative route, which is 3.5 km longer, but a lot nicer the landscape. Despite the longer route, I decided on the nicer option, but after a kilometer it still led past a road, but there were only four cars during the entire walk and there was pure nature left and right. The sun came out too and I was happy about that, but somehow I didn't really get going today. I had in mind that today is Sunday and therefore everything is going a little slower. And slowly my legs started to hurt a little and I got back pain. In general, I never get back pain and I've been walking around with a backpack for a long time. And it's a little lighter than when I started. I've had tension in my neck for a long time and now this too: I'm slowly getting too old for the shit like from a well-known television series. I think last night's bed was very lumpy. But that's still complaining at a high level. Anyway, I took a short break in the nearest town and treated myself to my protein drink. After that I had more power again. My slow progress could also be due to the fact that I didn't have coffee for breakfast and generally nothing real. Looking back, I have to say that I usually start the day in a better mood with breakfast. But if there's nothing in the accommodation and I see a bar that offers breakfast, it's always too early for me to take a long break after setting off. Let's see if I change my strategy along the way. The further path took a long time, but had a lot to offer in terms of natural technology. But the threads of spiders hanging along the path were annoying in the long run. In the end I crossed a motorway bridge and finally reached the destination Hospital de Órbigo. We crossed a beautiful bridge into the city, where it felt like everything was asleep, which could also be on a Sunday. Anyway, I went to my accommodation, Albergue La Encina. The good thing is that there is a restaurant directly attached, but otherwise the accommodation is rather average in terms of both furnishings and hygiene. The boss seemed very unfriendly. I went to my four-bed room where someone was already showering. Afterwards I refresh myself and plan the next stage for tomorrow.
There is a bar on site where I ordered a coffee and watched part of a football match, but it was too loud. That's why I went to the park nearby and destroyed my leftovers for dinner and made a phone call. Then I met a few people at the accommodation that I have seen many times before. It's amazing that some people go on such long stretches as I do. But there are 2 French people who unfortunately can't speak English. So I spent the evening relaxing in bed and went to bed early.
