📍Pai, Thailand
For a few days we went to Pai, for that we drove up the serpentine road by bus and yes the bus drivers really accelerate here. 🏎️
On site we rented a rustic bamboo hut including a hammock, which was extensively used. On the next day we drove into nature with a scooter and as we had to realize, we can't see anything at the viewpoints. It's really shocking how strong the air pollution is here in these months. Instead of further pointless views, we drove to a jungle waterfall after a short detour to the Great Wall of China and really enjoyed nature here. 💦
At the end we drove to a bamboo bridge and enjoyed the sunset here. ☀️
On the following day we went to the Long Neck Women from Myanmar, who have been living their culture scattered around northern Thailand for many years. Interestingly, their neck is not made longer by the rings, but their ribs are pressed so far down that the neck only appears longer. Afterwards we walked barefoot through nature and later visited a breathwork session at the meditation center. 🕉️
For the following days we treated ourselves to many delicious smoothie bowls and some Thai massages. While Anna let her soul dangle, Basti went to the International Meditation Center to spend the day there with the monks. Here he was able to learn a lot from them, also relaxed in the hot springs and meditated for almost 4 hours. 🧘🏽♀️
