4 hours of sleep in Hong Kong
I quickly get through all the checks in Hong Kong. We landed shortly after half past twelve in the afternoon and an hour later I'm lying in bed at the Regal Hotel and can sleep for almost 4 hours.
We're supposed to leave at 9:00 p.m. local time. That's 2:00 p.m. German time and I've already been traveling for 27 hours. The flight to Auckland is delayed by almost an hour and is about the same length as the one from London to Hong Kong. Next to me is a woman from Michigan who is meeting her friend from Norway in Auckland to travel around the North and South Island until January 4th. So I wouldn't feel like flying this route again in just under 3 weeks....
This flight is extremely cold and I'm sitting here in a fleece jacket and scarf, with the hood up, and yet I'm glad it's not as hot as on the flight to Hong Kong. The last 6 hours are tough, the last 4 even tougher.
