Island Tag 10: in the sunny west

Today we skip the first part of the proposed route, the program is full enough: seal-free Ytri Tunga beach, Buðir, Rauðfeldsgjá, Arnarstapi, Snaefellsjökull National Park, Ingjaldsholl, and Stykkisholmur. And almost the whole day with a view of the glaciers of Snaefellsjökull. We don't even get around to doing a hike from the Rother Guide, we're not bored in any way either.

Our room in Stykkisholmur is really small, a 140 cm bed under the sloping roof, almost like Wasseralm. Susanne swallows hard, takes a single room and charges it to the organizer. After that, we spend a very nice evening at the lighthouse in Stykkisholmur. If the sun were to set more than an hour before midnight, we would have experienced a fantastic sunset.
