Day 1: Let's go to the Barnat Mountains

After a day's break from driving, the adventure really begins today. Off to the Carpathians!

But I can't quite get rid of the train here 😅

At my first major stop, there are 150 years of locomotive history on a meadow next to the road. So let's start spotting locomotives.

After that it became greener, wilder and more mountainous.

Lots of beautiful places here. Not yet developed for tourism, but that is slowly coming.

In Vãliug there is a beautiful reservoir with a nice viewing platform.

Dragging the footrests is not possible here because there is a lot of dust on the road. The vegetation also grows far into the road.

Weather: ☀️ 34°C constant without clouds. Even in the mountains you can sweat a lot.

Today I am camping at "La Scena" in Garana.

Incidentally, the largest jazz festival in the East will take place here just a few days later.
