Hello everyone ☺️

Today our island change was on the agenda and we were really looking forward to seeing something new ☺️

We woke up at around 7:45 am and promptly at 8 am, monkeys were running over our roofs again ☺️

This time, we could even see some on the walls of our bungalow while we started the day on the terrace as usual ☺️

A little later, we packed everything, enjoyed the delicious breakfast once again, and discussed today's journey. The official ferry only departs once a day and we could have easily made it, but a taxi is faster and initially we thought it was cheaper. However, when we arrived at the Ao Nang pier and called a taxi with Grab, one after another told us that they would not drive us for that money.

In the end, we found someone who would drive us to the "Hua Hin Pier" for 1800 Bath (CHF 48.-).

The journey took 1 hour and 45 minutes, which I immediately used on my laptop to do 1.2 things. Kevin also took advantage of the journey and dozed off after a short time ☺️

We arrived at the pier at 1:45 pm and had perfect timing! We were able to buy ferry tickets for a total of 100 Bath, go directly onto the boat, and the boat set sail at 1:50 pm ☺️

The crossing only took 15 minutes and we were already on Koh Lanta ☺️

As soon as we arrived, we were approached by a woman asking if we needed a taxi. At first, we wanted to decline and look for a scooter, but since there was nothing in sight, and my bladder was getting uncomfortable, we accepted the offer. It was a bit strange that the price was initially 100 Bath and suddenly, when her husband intervened, it went up to 400 Bath. We agreed on 300 Bath and reached the hotel 20 minutes later.

The receptionist wanted to give us a different room and since we were already a bit annoyed because of being ripped off by the taxi, we immediately thought of fraud here too...

In reality, it was about the fact that she actually wanted to give us an upgrade: a slightly smaller room than booked, but with its own pool & whirlpool. We hesitated because we didn't choose the cheaper room "only" with a whirlpool because of the price, but because this room was much more charming.... The receptionist then said that we could look at both rooms and then decide. We were completely surprised and ashamed of our thoughts.

The upgraded room was really cute, but right next to the children's pool and anyone could look into the room. We thanked her for the offer, but decided to stick with the room we had booked.

Our room is absolutely stunning! We even have 2 floors!

1st floor: entrance, bathroom, bedroom 1, terrace with whirlpool

2nd floor: bathroom, bedroom 2

We really love it ☺️

We stayed here until around 5 pm, then we got hungry and walked down to the beach.

There, we leisurely strolled along the restaurants and eventually found one that really appealed to us - as usual for me, full of colorful lights ☺️

The restaurant was very pretty, we sat right on the sand, the food was very tasty, and the drinks... Well, the Caipirinha there is addictive *laughs*

At around 8:30 pm, we made our way back, we are now writing to you and at the same time filling our whirlpool with warm water ☺️

That's why we say goodbye for today and look forward to writing more about the island tomorrow 😉

See you sooooooon!
