After the impressive experience with the turtles, we leave Todos Santos and complete the round trip around the southern tip again in La Paz to reserve places for the ferry to Topolobampo.

Then a final stop in La Ventana, the kite surfer capital of Baja. Coincidentally, there is also a kite event. Dozens of colorful sails over turquoise water.

We drive through La Ventana and along a stretch of waterfront. Here there are hot springs that emerge directly from the water. With the round stones, you can build yourself a pool and mix cool seawater and water from the underground spring to bathing temperature. Otherwise, you will definitely scald yourself.

We stay there overnight, which is restless because the waves keep moving the stones and imitate the sound of a freight train.

Mica has such a migraine the next morning that we pack up and drive back to La Paz to stay at the campsite. Our Swiss colleagues join us. In the late afternoon, another Swiss Toyota arrives. Yvonne is at the wheel, a 67-year-old traveler who has been on the road for several years.

She joins us and we all board the ferry together. We can stand on the upper deck and sleep in the vehicles. Our spot is basically good. Unfortunately, the air intake for the engine compartment is at ear height on my side, and on Mica's side, the diesel of a refrigerated truck hums its sad song. Luckily, the modern earplug industry has suitable products that we happen to have on board.

The included dinner is not bad, the furnishings are a bit fiddly but somehow quirky. Even though the ship is old, we realize that it is third hand but "Made in Germany".
