Tag 8-13 - Mediterranean *****

Oh, let's continue. I don't think I'll drive too far. I heard that I'm staying at the Mediterranean. Let's see where it goes. I'll leave the site at 11 o'clock, packed up and ready to go, heading towards Spain along the Mediterranean at 27 degrees Celsius.

After 3 hours, a break and some shopping, I arrive at a campsite with a mileage of 1517.1 km, right by the sea. I've only driven 112.8 km today. That's nothing.

This is the spot - I'll wait here and then I'm allowed to drive to pitch F15, where I can practically look out to the sea over the dune, or at least I can hear it.

Great pitch, cute plot surrounded by hedges. Water and electricity supply in the plot. I'll have a view of the hedge and the sea for the next 6 days. I'll keep my eyes open here and wait for whatever comes next.

Next to me is a California, also nice with a rear tent, but less practical for short trips. I won't move for the next few days and just enjoy the warmth and the break.

I notice that a lot of reading, swimming and relaxing is going on again. It's probably not so exciting that I have to report everything.

The campsite is amazing, with five stars and everything a camper needs, and doesn't need. Showers, toilets, etc. are separated - men/women. The washing-up area is also separate and everything is very clean. There's a swimming pool, a fitness room and everything you need for shopping. The facility is reminiscent of an all-inclusive holiday, just without the all-inclusive, but with bracelets.

The beach is super clean, separated and private. The sea is crystal clear - even clearer than 100 km before. In addition to sand, there are a few stones and no shells.

In front of the site and towards the town you can stroll at the harbor, shop and have a burger at McDonald's.

Actually, it worked again without a reservation and even got one of the best pitches.

Highly recommended for holidaymakers who like a bit more luxury. There are dog areas, Wi-Fi, a tennis court. Also great for parents and children - sports and animation program every day. Live music and entertainment in the evening.

Nevertheless, you can find peace and seclusion here. This place has its price in high season and at 74 euros per night, it's not cheap, but worth every cent. The staff and employees are very friendly. You can easily spend 2-3 weeks here.

It should be noted that it's very windy and the Mistral really blows here. When it's as dry as in this summer, it's mega dusty. You should know this - at least directly in front of the sea. So dust and wind are certainly a drawback, but who can have it all. As a little tip, it should be mentioned that you can take the best photos on the beach at sunrise. Getting up early is definitely worth it.

After 5 nights, I feel restless and I know it's time to move on. Spain is waiting and with a heavy heart and a bit nostalgic, I'm going to continue. Today will be a long drive along the Pyrenees to the Atlantic. I'm covered in dust, not only because I relaxed for a few days, but truly and genuinely dusty from the outside and inside. Maybe the dust outside will blow away - after all, I was sparkling clean at the beginning of my journey.
