From Koh Chang to Bangkok

A last breakfast in paradise and then we took the van to Trat airport at 9:30 a.m. This time we used the car ferry and I didn't have to get back on the speedboat, my secret prayers were probably answered 😅 But it's more likely that it was due to the gathering of the other people on the island.

The airport is still just as cute as it was a week ago. One might think that it is a simple house with a bistro. But they were very, very strict when checking suitcases. I had 1.2 kg of excess baggage and was supposed to pay. Interestingly, I was 18kg on the outbound flight. But I really didn't buy anything useless.😅🤷🏻‍♀️ My brain was already thinking about what else would go in the backpack when I heard the price. 180 baht, which is just under 4 euros. It's not even worth thinking about opening. I love Thai life, honest, so simple and so uncomplicated. During the security check a drug test was carried out on my backpack, but I already know that from Costa Rica and was pretty relaxed.

There were free drinks and food in the “waiting hall”. The plane landed right in front of our feet and we went to Bangkok.

A very nice lady was waiting for me there and she texted me non-stop. She must have been in a good mood. Unfortunately I only understood half of the Thai English, but I always smiled nicely. We went to the hotel in the van and I had to laugh again at the entrance. There are bicycles everywhere, really everywhere… even the wardrobe in the room is made of pedals. And instead of souvenirs you can buy bicycle stuff down in the hotel!!! Who does something like that??? And no, I didn't book the hotel myself 😅

I'm going into town first. And what should I say? A week on the island was nice, but I missed the hustle and bustle. Bangkok you are loud, fast, you stink and I love everything about it. 😍I'm really looking forward to exploring the city in more detail tomorrow. Now I just have to eat something and take a shower.
