'Hiking is an activity of the legs and a state of the soul.'
Saturday, 22.09.
Today was a special day!
On my journey, I have already met many new people with whom I get along well and friendships are developing. But it's not the same as seeing familiar faces.
It was great to meet an old friend here in Arusha! We hadn't seen each other for a long time, but the hug was so familiar and lovely!
We hiked a tough path to the so-called Napuru Waterfall and enjoyed the nature, the burning muscles, and the adventurous trails. Everyone had a personal guide who helped them on the way because there were really climbing units. Of course, this was accompanied by lots of great conversations. After all, there was a lot to talk about!
I haven't been this exhausted for a long time, but it felt good to fall into a clean bed. Our hotel, where we moved to last night, is definitely nicer.
You only learn to appreciate running water when you have done without it.
It's the simple things that you don't even think about in Germany that become luxury goods here. But for me, it's just a good experience to appreciate our life more. I can really recommend this to everyone.
