I haven't had cold feet for 70 days. Last night, though, I did. This place is located at about 1000 meters above sea level, but I didn't expect it to get really cold at night. Yesterday, it was only 8 degrees. In hindsight, it explains the two woolen blankets on the bed. During the day, the temperature is very pleasant and there is always a nice breeze. When I think about my room on the 1st floor in Granada - the outer walls are really heated in the evening. I rarely stop sweating there.
Today, we learned something about coffee cultivation. And later, on a guided hike, we saw sloths. Without the guide, we would definitely not have noticed them.
The phenomenal peace and quiet is simply incredible. I am a bit anxious about returning to the urban hustle and bustle and the corresponding noise tomorrow, the neighbor with the oldies CD at 6 in the morning, the nightly fireworks, and the multiple noise sources of "my" family sometimes until late at night. I have only really noticed how loud it is in the city here. So Nicaragua can also be quiet.
