Big city in Mexican

MIVOAKA: 08.09.2018

By now, I have settled in quite well here and am slowly internalizing the Latino way of life. That could also explain why my second blog post is a bit delayed, as punctuality is not taken very seriously here...

Alright, now I want to tell you a little bit about my first week. I mainly spent my first weekend overcoming jet lag and mastering the little challenges of everyday life. That means going shopping, getting a phone number, using Uber for the first time, buying food on the street, and so on. However, it wasn't particularly exciting, so I'll spare you the details.

On Monday, I went out for the first time and explored the surrounding neighborhoods. You can see what I noticed and how I live here in the photos.

There's always something happening on the streets.

There is no peace here, no matter what time it is.

Everything works, somehow.

It's green here.

Really green.

A lot of color here in general.

The issue of safety.

Every house looks different here.

Actually, I had planned to see much more. However, that quickly changed with a call from the office. My predecessor had to leave earlier at short notice, so my free time was over by Tuesday afternoon. More on that next time.

Greetings
