In the morning, I felt like I had been run over by a truck. My eyes were swollen, and it took me a long time... until exactly 11 o'clock to pack up. I had breakfast and left around half past 11. As soon as I left Bodo and was no longer driving next to the highway, I woke up. The sun was shining, and nature showed new facets again. Mountains and forests. The mountains had even more snow on their peaks, and the forests were denser and greener than on the islands. It was a constant up and down today. It was also a day of climbing. I had my second breakfast on a cliff with a fantastic view in Saltstraumen. The sun was my companion, which made everything much easier. I also changed my rhythm today. In the evening, I cooked my food at a bus stop and let it roll until I got tired. My time window was open late, my goal was just to set up my tent and fall in. I also rode towards the sunset through a 3km long tunnel and found a lonely beach with a forest edge after 116km, where I set up my tent and took some time for a fire before going to sleep. It was a fantastic day that showed me how dependent I am on the weather.
I was near Ørnes, where I wanted to take a ferry, so I set my alarm for 6:30 to find a place to stay before the afternoon rain that was forecasted for the next day.
