Yesterday we arrived in fabulous Las Vegas. A city in the middle of nowhere! Huge hotels line up next to each other. After checking in, we wanted to try our luck at the slot machines. Unfortunately, the Jurassic Park machine wasn't very kind to us. So one of us had a loss. The Fairytale Bandit was more sympathetic to us. One press and we won 7 free spins and doubled our money. After changing machines, we fell back to the initial amount. So we came out with +/- 0.
Today we broke our record distance. We walked 18.1 km on foot. First, we wanted to go to the airport. Unfortunately, there was no good spot, and we were sent away at the only place where we could see something.
After that, we visited many different hotels. From the Luxor to the spectacular water show at the Bellagio. Then to the Venetian in the recreated Venice. It looks really great and it's the first Italian food we've had here. And most importantly: bread with crust! A rarity in this country.
On our way back to the Excalibur, we noticed the many street musicians. Someone is playing or singing on almost every corner. And where no one can be seen, there are speakers playing background music.
As it got dark, we went on our second tour. In the biting wind, we fought our way through the streets to take some pictures of Las Vegas at night. During the day, almost no one was around, but now people are crawling out of their holes.
We quickly had something to eat and then went back to the warmth.
We were shocked to see the many players who were even sleeping at the machines. But all in all, a very interesting and impressive city.
