After a restful night and an opulent breakfast in the sun, we crossed the Slovakian/Hungarian border without any problems and, with a delay of about 20 minutes, also the Hungarian/Serbian border. We experienced the first moment of shock after the Serbian border when we saw refugees who had been sent back walking back on the motorway. We reached Novi Sad around 4 p.m. and parked at the castle. From there you have a great view over the city with the bridges that were destroyed by NATO during the war but have now been rebuilt. The evening was reserved for a city tour and a typical local dinner. We were able to admire the great architecture and have the expert Falk (architect) explain the background to it.
