Pancake Rocks, Mother Nature's Pancakes

Today we went from Nelson to Lake Rotoroa to Pancake Rocks. After about an hour and a half, we reached Lake Rotorua.

Here we took a short hike to a secluded waterfall. The path was very overgrown and overgrown, so sometimes we could only speculate if we were still on the hiking trail. The waterfall itself was very narrow, but very high. Estimated 15 meters. Then we went back to the car. Before we continued, we took a short break on a bridge at Lake Rotoroa. A really beautiful lake, the locals see it as a hidden gem of New Zealand, as very few people know about it.

After that, it took 2 hours to Westport to Pancake Rocks. The Pancake Rocks are a collection of rock formations. They look like many stacked pancakes. Really worth seeing! We spent about 80 minutes here.

We continued towards Greymouth. A 30 minute drive. These 30 minutes are among the most beautiful stretches I have ever seen in my life. Many rocks shoot out of the shallow sea. The sea reflects like a mirror, making the sunset spectacular. This car ride was indescribable.
