Fabulous Sydney

So now we are in Sydney! A good start to the year 2018 - let's see what the metropolis has to offer us. We were there for three nights.

After checking in at our hostel, we had to make an effort to find a parking space. We already assumed that we would have to pay at least 50 dollars per day for that. We asked at the reception and they told us that there were some free places in the area. After an hour of searching, we found one 🎉🎉. We were in the Chippendale district - not right in the middle, but you could reach everything easily with public transportation.

As it should be, we saw the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House on our first day at night - quite impressive. If you want, you can walk quite a few kilometers in the city - good for fitness 😁. Every day there is a free tour through the city center of Sydney, where you get good tips for cheap activities within the city and the surroundings.

The next day we visited the Royal Botanic Garden and went to the Newtown district, where we ate delicious burgers. Newtown is a nice district, because there is not so much going on and there are nice bars, shops and restaurants there.

On the third day we took the bus to Cogee Beach to walk the Coastal Walk to Bondi Beach from there. Quite a nice route along the cliffs, past some other beaches. We relaxed at the beach afterwards.

Unfortunately, we didn't have much luck with the weather in Sydney. It was quite changeable, colder and rainy - we weren't used to that anymore. 🙈
