Angeschlagen in Kratie

Ebimisami: 27.01.2019

We arrived at our final destination in Cambodia on Friday. It took two long bus rides, each lasting 7 hours, in a not-so-new travel bus with Cambodian music, movies, and people.

We are staying here in Kratie for three nights because Michael's fever returned and we didn't dare to go to Laos. Since yesterday morning, he has been fever-free, apparently the antibiotics are working. Luckily. However, yesterday while walking through the market, an umbrella hit my head and I had to go to the doctor for a cut. But it wasn't that bad.

Kratie is a small town on the Mekong River that is known to tourists for the Irrawaddy dolphins found here. These are river dolphins that are very rare and have a completely different shape than 'Flipper,' more rounded like a whale. We actually saw them this morning during a boat tour. Taking photos is difficult though because they dive back underwater so quickly 🙄 but we managed to sneak in a picture from the internet....

Tomorrow morning, we will take the bus to Laos and then to the island of Don Det. We are excited.

Anke, wenn man auf dem Markt hart um Sonderangebote kämpft, dann gibt es eben kleinere Blessuren. Das verheilt wieder!
