After the big city, it was time for some idyllic scenery. We found this on the small island of Pangkor, which is mainly a weekend destination for Malaysians, so there wasn't much going on during the week. The beautiful beach was even more amazing, with its hammocks inviting us to relax.
We also spent a day exploring the island's attractions with a scooter. We saw a Buddhist temple with a replica of the Great Wall of China, a mosque on the water, a Hindu temple right by the sea, the ruins of a former fort, and a historical stone that we couldn't figure out the significance of, but it was still fun in some way. The two days on the island passed quickly, and it was time to take the ferry back to the mainland.
