After breakfast, we take the bus to the harbor. There is still a lot of traffic, still because of Tet, the New Year festival. Then we set sail on a boat. Many people, many boats. We sail to a floating fishing village near an island. There we see how various seafood (squid, lobster) and fish (small sharks) are farmed. We also row in these round boats typical of Vietnam through the fishing village.
In the distance, we see the amusement park on an island that the richest man in Vietnam had built. Small cable cars travel over the sea to the island. On another part of an island the Lord is having a palace built for himself. Everything was deforested for that purpose. It's not beautiful.
Now we reach another island where we can swim and snorkel. The underwater world is very beautiful, but after a while the water becomes fresh and two glass bottom boats constantly go back and forth, even though we're swimming there. After a while, we go to a restaurant on the island for lunch. It's very crowded, but the food is still delicious and there is a lot to choose from.
Then we go back to the harbor and then board our bus that takes us to the hotel.
I'm going to the i-Resort with the two Australian women Karen and Barb. It's a 6 hectare complex with swimming pools, water slides, mud and mineral baths, and various massages. We buy the mud and mineral bath treatments for 900,000 dong, chocolate massage and foot massage. A meal is also included.
There are employees everywhere, guiding us and explaining what to do next. We drive through the extensive complex in a car to the mud house. There we can change and then swim in the quite warm pools first. After half an hour we can then get into a huge tub with the mud water, the three of us. I would estimate that there are about 20 - 30 of these tubs. After 20 minutes, we shower and then go into another tub. This time it's a mineral bath with lavender. After another 30 minutes, we go for the chocolate massage. We get a pair of underwear and a sarong and take a seat on the sun loungers. Instead of massage oil, chocolate is used for rubbing. The smell of chocolate keeps coming up our noses. Our faces look quite funny. Afterwards, we can shower again and get changed into other clothes. Shorts and a top. Now it's time for dining. There are about 20 dishes and 10 drinks to choose from. We order 3 different dishes to share among ourselves.
Next is the foot massage, which is actually a leg and head massage and it is quite intense. It's painful at times, but it feels good.
Now we're done and we take a taxi back to the hotel. It was a great experience for us.
