Day 3 Philadelphia & Washington

Ebimisami: 01.10.2016

Hello my dear 😘

Today we left New York towards Philadelphia.

An important city for the founding and independence of the United States.

The Liberty Bell played the main role here, of course.

In the afternoon, the journey continued towards Washington D.C..

After a short sightseeing tour, we had dinner at the beautiful train station.

A walk to the Capitol was the next highlight. What was really interesting here was that there are hardly any people walking around in this city (especially compared to the hustle and bustle in New York 😉), but as our super tour guide Peter explained, no people actually live in Washington, only embassies, museums, etc. can be found there.

But of course, people do live in Washington, and we actually saw that famous residence next. Yes, that's right, the house of Mr. President, The White House by night.

The end of this evening tour was the new Martin Luther King Memorial and the Kennedy Center.

Now it's back to the hotel and tomorrow a full day in Washington awaits us 😊.

Your Catharina xoxo
