Good day everyone.
Let me introduce myself, my name is Dominik, I'm 26 years old and I come from Austria, more precisely from Linz. I have been traveling my whole life. It all began in 2001, when my stepfather took me to Thailand for a month for the first time at the age of 11.
Back then, as a rookie in the traveler business, I didn't know what to do with the idea of traveling to a faraway country armed with a backpack. So I countered with the statement: 'Hey Mario, why don't we go to Lignano, where all my friends go?' I digress...
On December 27th, I will start my first world trip, although I wouldn't call it that! What actually defines a world trip? I ask myself that question often. So I am flying to India, more precisely to Delhi.
Why India? At first, it wasn't my idea, but the idea of a friend of mine, he quoted it as follows: 'Let's go to India and have an adventure, and then let's chill on the beach in Bali and surf for a few months'.
Actually, a good idea, I thought to myself, but India? Are you sure about that! That was my initial reaction, but it quickly changed when I started reading a bit, classically got myself a Lonely Planet, although I always get annoyed when I see someone with it in their hands, well, what can you do?
After reading some good blogs and doing a bit of research, I decided to travel to India with a companion. But then came the next shock, my faithful travel companion is not coming to India with me, hmm ... now it's getting difficult. Well, I thought to myself, since I've been traveling for 2 months every year since 2012, I will manage. Said and done, flight booked (June).
How long will I travel? Good question, I'll decide on the way, for now, I have 9 months, without quitting my job, then I'll have to figure something out. It's a bit complicated, maybe I'll explain it in a separate chapter.
Why the blog?
Well, actually just to record my thoughts, fears, experiences, like a diary. I've already set myself a lot of goals again, vlogging on YouTube, carrying camera equipment, playing the guitar, reading a lot ... Will I be able to do all that? Who knows ... One thing's for sure, I won't be bored.

PS: Please don't have too high expectations regarding content and spelling, I'm just doing this for fun, I don't intend to go down in history as the new Goethe.
