III. Goodbye Berlin & the Paris Adventure

Not even in Nicaragua yet and already the first blog entry - what four hours of waiting time and free Wi-Fi can do :)

This is what it looked like right before we started. With a smiling and a crying eye, I said goodbye, the backpack is packed in a garbage bag and hopefully arrives in one piece (if it arrives at all...). We took off with a half-hour delay and on the plane with me was a chattering Dresden woman - so there was entertainment. When we landed in Paris with the same delay, a little panic set in, as my transfer time was already tight. Then the incredibly long queue at passport control - phew! Fortunately, a very nice airport employee, who unfortunately only spoke French, immediately understood the situation, guided me past everyone, showed me the fastest way and got me to the gate just before boarding closed... I would have liked to thank him more extensively, but he didn't understand my English and I only manage a brief 'Merci beaucoup, monsieur!' in French
