Melbourne City

After a rainy week in the car, a long-awaited change! We moved into a very cool hostel in St. Kilda (Felix has already lived here for two months eight years ago, almost a home game)

What's so special about this city?

The coffee culture, the incredibly good and varied street food, street art, a lot of graffiti (partly hidden in the smallest alleys and so beautiful!) Street music!

Style mix: colonial brick houses next to giant skyscrapers. But somehow it fits.

What was the secret tip?

Penguins at St. Kilda Beach (our residential area). So small and cute! A small colony lives here between the rocks and as soon as the sun sets, the loudest chattering and waddling begins :)

Many of the people we met here were able to give us great tips for NZ and would have liked to come with us again :)

Also, the many other travel stories are just wonderfully enjoyable to listen to. Isn't that also what makes a journey, to share almost everything for a moment: home, heart, and memories?

We leave Australia very relaxed. And we are so excited to come to New Zealand.

Finally, less time pressure and more time in one place. The next plane doesn't leave until March to Argentina, but maybe we'll get a working visa for a year in NZ, let's see :) let's go!
