Day 9

Today, the longest stage of the day was on the program. We started from Kuopio at 06.00 o'clock sharp....... getting up was a bit annoying. But the sun was shining and we were able to ride in beautiful weather at first.

Of course, on this stage, we can't miss a visit to Rovanjemi, the home of Santa Claus. Very touristy, but for us, crossing the Arctic Circle was the main event.

However, after that, the good weather left us and we had more clouds, then fog, and approximately 80 km before reaching the destination, the rain started. The temperatures also dropped to around 10 degrees. Not great for riding. But according to plan, we arrived at the northernmost IPA house in the world in Ylläs at around 18.00 o'clock. 170 km north of the Arctic Circle. After checking into the rooms, we went straight to the sauna to relax our muscles. Now the evening is ending with a glass of beer.
