The End of Abstinence

Viva Mexico!!!

Finally we have arrived. After an hour of flying time and thanks to my moderate fear of flying, thousands of nerve cells have been lost. We also survived the customs control. For some reason, I was worried about the non-existent onward flight ticket....

....The only seemingly important question from the customs officer was whether I was married to my companion, while his gaze did not shift to me, but glowed at her.

Yesss. Bienvenido!!! In the land of Hombres!! The Machos, the imposing history of the Mayan cultures, the tequila temples, the unhealthiest and best food in the world...the American and Argentine invaders AND....

Mac Donalds!!! You can call me a culinary whistle, but after 2 months of rice and beans in all possible variations, the Mac Donalds branch in Cancun was like the light at the end of the tunnel for my thirsty taste buds.

Mexico offers incredible things. Sea, culture, culinary delights and a political situation that makes the country both uncomplicated and exciting.  About all the facets, the traveler's life in Mexican hostels, why I already love Mexico after 4 weeks, why my age catches up with me and why Argentina annoys me without me ever being there... All this and much more in the following reports. Have fun and one tip...it's best read with tequila and nachos. See you soon....
